Life is hard for stonemason Ben and his son Matthew, living and working in a remote quarry. When Ben’s forgetfulness is diagnosed as dementia and Matthew has to put him into care, their troubles really begin.
In the end there is only one way that Ben can release his son from the financial and emotional ties that are binding him.
Set in the heart of Cornwall, a landscape that might be a thousand miles from the tourist trail, Pauline Shepard’s story is about the unexpressed love between a father and son. A film about loss and renewal; the loss of traditional ways of living, the loss of a parent and the loss of memory.
